BOOKINGS ESSENTIAL
THESE ARE OUR FAVOURITES!
Quarantine Island - Visit and walk around to see the old buildings including the old Quarantine Station and chapel. The children can do the treasure hunt (school holidays, or on demand for birthday parties etc) . They will receive treats after finding the treasure to swap with the skipper!
Cycle and passenger ferry - Go between cafes and restuarants or take your bike and cycle the loop! The newly constructed cycleway makes a safe, beautiful journey with the ferry trip across between ports completing 'the loop'. Completed from Dunedin to Portobello and most of the way from Port Chalmers to Dunedin, (except for currently 3 kms from Port Chalmers to St Leonards). Gather a small group of cyclists and go as a group!
Mini Harbour Tour - Stay on the ferry and dont get off on the other side. This makes it a Mini Tour! A fun, short ride across the harbour and back.
Just enough to get a taste of the harbour. Scenic, interesting and with a full commentary along the way. Easily done as a private option, on request for families and small groups
Wildlife Cruise - 1.5-2 hours approx, look for albatross, seals , penguins, sea birds and more. We also see and talk about and see the historic Quarantine Station, shipwrecks, Taiaroa Head Lighthouse and more! Private options available for 6 adults or more.
